    Description

    WWI US Model 1913/17 English Enfield Rifle Bayonet.  Bayonet measures 21.5" overall with a blade length of 17".  Blade is excellent with a gray patina. Grips show some dings on left grip.  Excellent working press-stud, left side of pommel marked, "E" with other fading letters, but unreadable. Ricasso area of the blade marked, "1913 over 11-16 (November 1916) over Remington.  Opposite side has British proof-marks, etc.  Scabbard shows age patina, wear of eather, old black paint with scratches.  Leather has a Forward Arrow British cartouche with what appears to have "737" stamped on scabbard throat.
    These bayonets were made under British Contract by Remington and were made for the British Pattern 1914 Rifle.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.   A great looking piece!
