Bayonet measuring 21.75" long overall with a blade length of 17"
The blade shows no signs of sharpening
The blade shows original finish with surface smooth scattered rust
The base of the blade is marked 1907 Wilkinson and other proof marks
The handle is wood with a silver insert
The locking mechanism is functional
The Pattern 1907 bayonet, officially called the Sword bayonet, pattern 1907, was a British bayonet designed to be used with the Short Magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) rifle
The Pattern 1907 bayonet was used by the British and Commonwealth forces throughout both WWI & WWII
We made no effort to clean or sharpen this piece as not to impair its value
